That’s exactly what Donald Trump looked like on March 8 while speaking to press after his wins in the Michigan and Mississippi primary elections.
“I brought some things up because (Romney) said ‘That water company is gone!’ I said ‘it is? I didn’t know that!’”
An assistant (unseen in the video) is lugging cases of that water, which was apparently distributed to press conference attendees.
Trump then went on a long spiel, listing his many brands. Like his vacation resorts – Mar-a-Logo in Palm Beach, Doral in Miami, and other “massive buildings in the State of Florida,” he said. Add in Trump Water, Trump Steaks, Trump Wine, and even Trump University, which he defended despite the lawsuits it now faces.
He added in his affiliation with other businesses, like Bank of America. And while he no longer has Trump Airlines, he says he “made a phenomenal deal” when he dumped it off on a buyer not long ago.
He continued to brand-name drop for a while, if only for the possible reason that national media (which were obligated to cover and broadcast that event) could give him more free promos.
And, in case anyone’s doubting his promotional intentions, check out this photo tweet from an attendee of that March 8 event:
