Recent news that George H.W. Bush supports Hillary Clinton in the presidential race isn’t sitting too well with his son, Jeb. In fact, on September 29 the former Florida governor discredited the endorsement, telling press that his father was merely a “frail, 92-year-old man,” and implied that any statements made by the former president made might not be valid.
Not every picture is worth a thousand words, but some certainly merit a thousand edits. And that’s what happened to a recent photograph of Michelle Obama and George W. Bush.
The original was taken by David Hume Kennerly, the Pulitzer-winning, former chief White House photographer. You see a smug and sleepy Bush cradled in the arms of the First Lady, and at the opening of the National Museum of African-American Art and History on September 24.
The picture quickly made the “Photoshop Battles” group on Reddit, though. And that’s where the fun began. Here’s the original:
And here are some of the funniest ones that made the subreddit posting:
Hillary Clinton resides in the state of New York, which she represented as U.S. Senator when the New York City's World Trade Center was struck by terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001. For those reasons was she sure to attend a memorial event in NYC today on the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
Clinton left the event about 9:30 a.m., though, because she wasn’t feeling well. And news of that exit launched an online smear from Trump supporters that made one thing quite evident:
Her recent statement about their regularity in comments that are “offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric” is 100-percent true.
As Clinton said, “you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables.” And they proved that today in their online comments on NBC’s coverage of her early departure.
Here’s video of that incident, in which you can see Clinton stumble and require assistance to get into a vehicle:
