On the day before South Carolina’s primary, Hillary Clinton led Bernie Sanders 58-31 in an average of many recent polls, leaving an 11-percent undecided up for grabs. She went on to win it on February 27 with a 73.5-26 trouncing, though, indicating the undecideds – and even a few previous Bernie supporters – climbed aboard the Clinton caravan at the last minute. And one well-known Sanders advocate could be the reason why.
Back in its Comedy Central days, “The Colbert Report” was a hot-spot for satire. In one case, though, a satirical response to one particular Colbert satire got distorted by media, leading to stalking and even death threats.
Forget all the talk about the “Bernie Sandwich,” that verbal gaffe MSNBC’s Christopher Hayes repeated in his coverage of the New Hampshire primary. Now there’s an actual “Bernie Sanders Burger” available from a New Jersey deli.
Wildflower, a small restaurant tucked away in the town of Millville between the Delaware River and the Atlantic Ocean, just recently added this new item to its menu.
TEd Cruz Quickly Pulled This Campaign Ad That Includes An Adult Film Star (But I have it right here!) VIDEO
It’s bad enough that some self-declared “moral majority” is waging a holy war in the U.S. political system. It’s far, far worse, though, when people in that movement don’t practice what they preach.
Take Ted Cruz’s campaign, for example. The same presidential candidate who lists religion to be the focal point of his campaign – who claims the Ten Commandments supersede the U.S. Constitution – and whose wife just told media that her husband should be elected “to show this country the face of the God that we serve” – just launched a new commercial that featured a soft-porn star.
When comedians crash political events, it’s not long before other attendees – even the candidates themselves – notice the humorous behavior and intentions. Try that sarcasm at a Donald Trump campaign event, though? You can go unnoticed and even blend right in.
That’s what Jake Byrd from “Jimmy Kimmel Live” has been doing, and multiple times. He dresses in what looks like a Tea Party wardrobe, shouts out bizarre responses to Trump’s zingers, and … Byrd’s received with open arms by everyone else in the crowd!
When John Kasich walked away from the New Hampshire primary with an impressive second-place finish on February 9, many of the American public breathed a sigh of relief. He doesn’t use vulgar language in his addresses or claim to be the second coming of Christ, unlike those other Republicans topping the polls. Plus, he took 16 percent in the contest, with a healthy margin over Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, and Marco Rubio! Finally, a half-decent contender rose from the GOP cesspool! He can’t be that bad of a guy, right?
WRONG! He’s just as crooked and quacky as the rest of the Republican slate. Consider these points from his colorful history:
Meet Justin “Equality” Smith. He’s a Hillary Clinton supporter in the upcoming election, and is actively involved with the campaign in Charleston, South Carolina. Here he is rallying in front of the Gaillard Center on January 17, for example, right before the Democratic debate that took place there later that night.
