But Speaker Boehner and other House Republicans must think the public is ignorant - Obama's issued far less EOs than other presidents. And this Congress keeps setting records for lowest productivity every year, leaving the president with no other choice but executive orders.

Since assuming the office in January 2009 through July 2014, Obama has issued 183 executive orders. That's an average of 2.7 per month.
George W. Bush, however, issued 291 in his eight years, for an average of three every month. Where were Boehner's complaints then?
In fact, Obama's issued less executive orders per year than every other president over the last 80 years.
Truman holds the record (114 annually), but that was during the infamous "do-nothing Congress" of the late 1940s and early 1950s.
But the current Congress is doing even less than that do-nothing group. Since winning House majority in 2010, the Republican-led Congress has set new records every year for the least productivity. The least number of bills passed, and the lowest percentage. They're scheduled to set a new record this year. They even set a different record in 2013 - fewest hours in session in a non-election year (meaning they had no "busy campaign schedule" excuse).
Note to House GOP: trying to sue someone for correcting your wrong is ignorant. That's like trying to arrest me for putting out the fire that you started. Or for changing the tire that you caused to go flat. This pre-election promo isn't going to do you any good.
